Forty shanties burnt down as a devastating fire broke out at a slum in the city’s Dhalpur area on Thursday morning. Sources said the fire originated from an electric short circuit in a shanty on Wasa Road under Jatrabari police station at about 9:40am and soon engulfed 39 other shanties. Full story
