Luxury vessel for Chittagong Boat ClubAdmin

A luxury cruise ship built by a local company was handed over to Bangladesh Navy-run Chittagong Boat Club at a colourful ceremony on Sunday.
The fully air-conditioned cruise vessel with 150-person capacity was built by the Western Marine Shipyard Limited.
Addressing the handing over function at the club, the Navy chief, vice-admiral Zahir Uddin Ahmed, said the ship ‘Western Cruise’ will be by the distressed people of the coastal area during natural calamities and encouraging the people in aquatic sports.
Among others, area commanders of the Chittagong naval command, commodore Nizam Uddin Ahmed, Western Marine Shipyard’s chairman Soheil Hasan and managing director Shakawat Hossain also spoke on the occasion.
