Body of another murder accused recovered in SirajganjNew Age Online
Police on Saturday morning recovered a body of a murder case accused who was a suspect in the killing of Sirajganj Awami league leader, Saiful Islam.
The man was identified as Jahangir Alam, 45, a resident of Chetulia village under the sadar upazila of the district.
The number of suspects in the slain case---who were found dead, rose to three---so far, police said.
Kamarkhanda police station sub-inspector Abdul Baset said locals found the body of Jahangir lying beneath the Jhaol bridge on Dhaka-Sirajganj highway near Bangabandhu Bridge (west zone).
Being informed, police recovered the body which bore injury marks on the head, said the SI.
The body was sent to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Rojina Khatun, wife of Jahangir Alam claimed plainclothes law enforcers held Jahangir Alam and Joban Ali from Joydevpur area near Dhaka on January 19. Since then, she said, her husband had been missing.
Earlier on February 5, police recovered the bullet-hit body of Joban Ali, the main accused in the murder case while another accused Bablu Miah was killed in 'crossfire' with RAB on January 30.
A local BNP leader said those three were their leaders and that they had been killed extra-judicially.
Political adviser to the BNP chairperson, former state minister for power and also the district BNP president Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku brought the allegation of extra judicial killing against the government.
He said those men were implicated in the killing case of AL leader Saiful Islam.
