Two killed in Habiganj road crashNew Age Online
Two people were killed and four others injured in a head-on collision between two CNG-run auto-rickshaws at East Joypur area under Bahubal upazila of Habiganj early Thursday, UNB reported.
The deceased were identified as Jitu Miah, 40, son of late Firoz Miah of Titarkona village and Akbar Ali, 70, son of late Ahsan Ullah of Rimarghjat village of the upazila.
Police said the two auto-rickshaws collided head-on in the area on the Shreemangal-Mirpur Road at about 12:30 am, leaving Jitu dead on the spot and five others injured.
Of the injured, Akbar Ali was rushed to Habiganj Sadar Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead.
Injured Milon and Kachon Ali were admitted to Habiganj Sadar Hospital while two others to the upazila health complex.
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to the hospital morgue for autopsy.
A case was filed in this connection.
