Bodi to appear before ACC on Feb 16New Age Online
The Anti-Corruption Commission has asked Abdur Rahman Bodi, the lawmaker of Cox’s Bazar-4 constituency to appear before the commission on February 16 to submit his statement on his ‘unsolicited wealth’.
ACC deputy director Ahsan Ali today sent a notice to Abdur Rahman Bodi, asking him to appear before the commission on Feb 16 at 10:00am.
ACC already formed a probe team to run a formal inquiry into affidavits of 7 ministers and lawmakers who participated in the January 5 general elections.
After the Election Commission made public the wealth statements of the candidates for the 10th parliamentary polls on December 14, media reports highlighted huge discrepancies between the wealth of prominent leaders of the ruling Awami League before they were elected and the statements they had provided prior to the 9th national polls in 2008.
