Showcase notice served on jail authorityNew Age Online
The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court Wednesday served a showcase notice on the Dhaka central jail authority, for failing to produce Oishi Rahman, the prime suspect in the murder of her parents, before the court today.
Oishi’s father was a Special Branch police inspector. Oishi is now at the central jail.
However, the court does not set any deadline to respond to the notice.
Today was set for a scheduled hearing on Oishi’s bail plea on grounds of her ‘O’-level exams, her lawyer said.
Additional chief metropolitan magistrate Alamgir Kabir Raj issued the notice.
Earlier on Jan 12, Prokash Ranjan Biswas, the lawyer of the suspect had filed a petition seeking bail of Oishi so that she can sit for exams in May, this year.
In the plea, the lawyer has also urged to the court to hear about her educational materials which she needed ahead of her examinations.
The court on that day posted today for hearing on the plea.
