Chittagong's rail links with Dhaka and Sylhet have been restored after twelve hours, reports bdnews24.com.
They were disrupted early on Saturday when several compartments of a mail train derailed near Comilla.
The services on Dhaka-Chittagong and Chittagong-Sylhet routes resumed just before midday, said Feni railways assistant engineer Abdul Halim.
He said four compartments of a Dhaka-bound mail train went off the tracks near the Nangalkot railway station in the wee hours of Saturday.
