The sun could not be seen in different parts of the country including Dhaka as the country witnessed foggy weather throughout Monday with a partly cloudy sky.
The situation may remain the same over the country having chances of light rain or drizzle at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and the regions of Jessore, Kushtia and Comilla today, the met office said.
It said that moderate to thick fog might occur over the river basins and light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere over the country during midnight till morning.
Night temperature may rise slightly and day temperature may fall by one to two degrees Celsius over the country, the met office said, adding that mild cold wave was sweeping over the regions of Sayedpur, Srimangal and Rangamati.
The met office recorded 8.05 degrees Celsius temperature at Srimangal while it recorded 9.03 degrees Celsius at Saidpur and 10 degrees Celsius in Rangamati as the lowest temperature.
