Voter turnout satisfactory: TofailNew Age Online
Awami League advisory council member Tofail Ahmed said turnout of the voters was satisfactory in spite of huge obstacles and sabotages.
BNP-led alliance could not prevent the 10th parliamentary polls regardless of their enormous attempts to foil it, he added.
‘We are successful to conduct a free, fair and neutral poll amid some sporadic incidents,’ the AL leader made this comment at a press briefing at AL chief’s Dhanmondi office immediate after the polls were over.
He thanked the constituents who cast their votes in a hostile environment.
He also thanked members of law enforcers’ and various agencies, presiding officers, assistant presiding officers and others for helping carry out a ‘free and fair poll.’
