Kid wounded in cocktail explosionNew Age Online
A 10-year-old boy sustained grievous injuries after an abandoned cocktail exploded near a dustbin in the capital’s Lalbagh area Sunday morning.
The victim, Rakib, was referred to the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation center at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar after a completion of surgery in the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The family said the accident took place when Rakib found the cocktail in the garbage at about 6:00am behind the Posta police box which exploded as he picked it up. The explosion caused his right wrist to rip off.
The DMCH police box officials said they were investigating into the matter.
