Tipped off, the elite force team, led by deputy director Didarul Alam, conducted the drive at Bijli Mohalla around 11:30am and recovered 43 abandoned bombs, said additional police super Raihan Uddin Khan, an operation officer of RAB-2.
He said there was no arrest as the miscreants who were carrying the bombs fled the scene, sensing the RAB team’s presence.
