Stay careful about undemocratic force: PMNew Age Online
Prime minister Sheikh Hasina today warned the people of conspiracy against January 5 polls saying the election should be held for continuation of democracy and development, BSS reported.
‘The actors of 2007 are active again with multifaceted conspiracy to foil the elections to pave way for undemocratic force. But we have to remember the situation of 2007,’ she said.
The Prime Minister said this while addressing an election campaign in support of Awami League candidate Kamal Ahmed Majumder at Mirpur Adarsha High School ground in the city.
Sheikh Hasina said the actors of 2007 get importance when there is no democracy in the country. She urged the citizens to stay careful about those elements.
The Prime Minister said it's beyond doubt that the election will be held completely in a free, fair and neutral manner. ‘No evil design to foil the election will be successful,’ she added.
Sheikh Hasina said her party after taking office in 2009 has taken all pragmatic steps to address the problems of the city people including the acute crisis of water, electricity and gas.
‘Eleven new government schools and colleges are being established. Construction of many of those educational institutions have already been completed while others remain under construction,’ she said.
Hospitals are being constructed in every area to deliver urban healthcare services to every citizen, she added.
The Prime Minister said, Bangladesh would be a middle-income country by 2021 and the country will transcend the stage by 2041 to be a rich one if the Awami League remains in power.
