Tribunal allows defence to recall seven PW against YusufNew Age Online
The International Crimes Tribunal-2 on Tuesday allowed a defence petition to recall seven prosecution witnesses against war crime accused AKM Yusuf for further cross-examination.
The tribunal also imposed a cost of Tk 40,000 on the defence to pay to the prosecution as expenses for the witnesses' transportation.
The defence has to pay the money to the prosecution within Thursday.
The tribunal had earlier, closed the cross-examination of seven prosecution witnesses for repeated non appearance of the conducting senior lawyer.
The tribunal ordered that the defence will have to complete cross-examination of four witnesses (12th to 15th) on December 23 and 24 and three witnesses (16th to 18th) on December 29 and 30 respectively.
