Lalmonirhat-Burimari train communication resumes

New Age Online

Train service between Lalmonirhat and Burimari resumed after 18 hours following fixing of fishplates of railway lines at around 2:55pm Tuesday.
Assistant traffic superintendent of Lalmonirhat Railway Division Sazzad Hossain said that the train communication along the route returned to normalcy in the afternoon.
Technical personnel of the Bangladesh Railway repaired the removed fishplates Tuesday noon, said Sazzad Hossain.
Train service between those two stations was disrupted since Monday night as pickets unscrewed at least 100 fishplates of the railway tracks at Bawra and Awliarhat areas under Patgram upazila of the  district. The blockade supporters also placed logs on the railway line at different locations of the route.
