The metropolitan magistrate, MA Salam passed the order, as police produced Khoka, also the convener of BNP Dhaka City unit, before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court this afternoon, and sought 20-day remand.
The court, however, rejected remand and bail pleas, in another case filed with Ramna Police Station.
The DMP had filed a murder case against 17 BNP-led opposition leaders including Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and unnamed others in connection with Thursday’s bus fire that has so far left three people dead.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police filed another murder case against 32 BNP-led opposition leaders including Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and 30 others unnamed in connection with Saturday’s bus fire at Malibagh in the capital that has so far left one person dead.
Rapid Action Battalion handed over Khoka, a former mayor of Dhaka City Corporation, to DB police on Thursday.
