ICT-1 sets Nov 20 for hearing on show cause notice against MahbubNew Age Online
The International Crimes Tribunal-1, on Tuesday, set November 20 for hearing on the show cause notice issued by the tribunal against senior Supreme Court lawyer Khandaker Mahbub Hossain, for his comments on verdict of war crimes case against BNP lawmaker Salauddin Quader Chowdhury.
The tribunal set the date responding to a plea by Supreme Court senior lawyer Zainul Abedin who represented Mahbub.
Zainul sought an adjournment for four weeks on the ground of personal problems of Mahbub to submit his reply to the show cause notice.
Monday (October 21) was fixed for replying to the notice but Mahbub’s lawyer M Tajul Islam on Sunday (October 20) submitted a petition seeking four weeks adjournment to reply to the notice.
