Khaleda convenes meetingsbdnews24.com / New Age Online
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has convened meetings of the top leaders of her party and the 18-Party alliance ahead of the opposition’s October 25 campaign to oust the government.
The leader of the opposition will hold a meeting of the BNP’s National Standing Committee at her Gulshan office on October 19. The following night she will sit with the top leaders of the BNP-led 18-Party alliance.
The meetings have been called to finalise the plan for the ongoing opposition’s campaign for election under a non-party government.
BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi told bdnews24.com on Tuesday. ‘The opposition chief will announce the schedules from the rally on October 25.’
BNP has announced a public rally in Dhaka on that day to press for its long standing demand. It has threatened the government against preventing the rally saying it will strongly resist any attempt to disrupt its programme.
