Bangladesh calls up Al Amin for first NZ TestNew Age Online
Bangladesh have included uncapped pace bowler Al Amin Hossain in their 14-man squad announced on Wednesday for the first Test against New Zealand, beginning in Chittagong on October 9.
Al Amin was rewarded for his impressive show in the ongoing Dhaka Premier League that saw him taking 18 wickets in just five matches while playing for Abahani Limited.
Left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak and batsmen Anamul Haque and Naeem Islam also returned to the side after missing out Bangladesh’s Zimbabwe tour in April.
The second Test will be held in Dhaka from October 21 through October 25.
Squad: Mushfiqur Rahim (capt), Mahmudullah, Anamul Haque, Tamim Iqbal, Sakib al Hasan, Nasir Hossain, Abdur Razzak, Naeem Islam, Sohag Gazi, Rubel Hossain, Mominul Haque, Marshall Ayub, Robiul Islam and Al Amin Hossain.
