Tribunal lodges GD on SQC judgement pilferageNew Age Online
The International Crimes Tribunal registrar AKM Nasiruddin Mahmud on Wednesday lodged a general diary in connection with leaking a part of judgement against Salauddin Quader Chowdhury that was delivered on Tuesday.
The GD was lodged with the Shahbagh police station under Dhaka metropolitan police.
The GD said, after pronouncing the judgement, Salauddin’s family members claimed that they had earlier received the judgement copy through some online portals.
Salauddin’s wife Farhat Quader Chowdhury told the newsmen that the pronounced judgement and the judgement copy from online sources had some similarities, the GD reads.
It also said all the judgements pronounced by the ICT were prepared inside tribunal premises and that it is not possible to do any pilferage.
The diary said it was a matter of concern that how the parts of the draft judgement could have been made public on the net or lifted from the tribunal.
It said the matter was a threat to the tribunal’s security and transparency.
The GD mentioned that the part of the ‘fake draft judgement’ was uploaded in the website –www.tribunalleaks.be
The GD sought investigation and legal steps in this connection.
