Ganajagaran Mancha welcomes verdictDU Correspondent
Leaders and activists of Ganjagaran Mancha, campaigning for the capital punishment of all war criminals since February 5, on Tuesday brought out a victory procession in the capital, welcoming the war crimes tribunal judgement that sentenced BNP leader Salauddin Quader Chowdhury to death punishment.
After the procession marched down different raods from Shahbagh, Ganajagaran Mancha’s spokesperson Imran H Sarker termed the verdict ‘very crucial’ after that aganst Jamaat leader Ghulam Azam.
He said, ‘Salauddin Quader Chowdhury is a notorious war criminal as he did not only execute killing during the independence war but also tried to destroy pro-independence forces after the war.’
Imran warned of any attempt at foiling the war crimes trail process.
