War Crimes Verdict
BNP silent againNew Age Online
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party leaders refrained from making any comment on the Appellate division verdict on Jamaat-e-Islam leader Quader Mollah appeal, that handed down the death penalty to him on Tuesday, for crimes against humanity during the Liberation War.
BNP standing committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain and Nazrul Islam Khan told New Age that they would not like to make any personal comment on the verdict.
Both Mosharraf and Nazrul said the party spokesman might give a reaction on it.
Earlier BNP did not give any reaction to the verdicts against Jamaat leaders for committing crimes against humanity in the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971.
