Seven held with a pistol, ammos in KaliganjNew Age Online
Police arrested seven youths along with arms, ammunitions and gunpowder from a Munsefpur house under Kaliganj upazila in Gazipur district Sunday night.
The arrested persons are: House owner Anwar Hossain, 30, son of Chand Mia of Baligoan village, Zillur Rahman, 22, son of Sadeque Ali of Darison village, Amir Hamza, 25, son of Md Solaiman of Munsurpur village. They all are residents of Kaliganj upazila.
The other detained are: Jhinuk Mia, 29, son of Faruk Mia of Sahar Mor area, Md Kutub Uddin, 20, son of Abul Hasem of Khilpara area of Ghorasal, Md Abir, 22, son of Abul Kalam of Kandapara area of Palash, and Md Masud, 28, son of Abdul Matin of Kartetul of Palash. They all hailed from Narsingdi district.
Nazmul Bhuyan, officer-in-charge of Kaligonj police station said their raid followed a tip off and that they entered the resident of Anwar at11.30pm and arrested them all.
The police seized one US made pistol, one magazine loaded with 3 rounds of bullets, two hand bombs, and materials to make crude bombs, gun powder, phensedyl, ganja, and two motor cycles from their possessions.
A case is lodged with Kaligonj police station.
