Robbers loot SOS officer’s houseStaff Correspondent . Khulna
Robbers looted gold and silver ornaments and cash from a house in Arambag residential area under the Sonadanga police of Khulna city early Tuesday.
The house owner and also programme officer of Save Our Soul Shishu Palli, Mustafizur Rahman, said three masked and armed men entered
the house breaking a window.
They held him and his wife hostage and escaped looting gold ornaments weighing over 13 tolas, silver ornaments weighing about twenty tolas,
and other valuables including Tk 22,500 in cash, he said.
The robbers threatened them that they would kill them if they would inform the police, he added.
Mustafizur also alleged that the Sonadanga
police officer-in-charge, SM Kamruzzaman, refused to file a case in this connection.
The OC denied the allegation saying it was a burglary, not robbery.
‘I requested him to correct his complaint,’ he added.
