Vote BNP and terror will return: Dipu MoniNew Age Online
Foreign minister Dipu Moni Tuesday said diplomatic efforts were in progress to bring back the remaining convicted killers of the country’s founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who were hiding overseas.
‘We have already completed the trial of Sheikh Mujib killing case. Our diplomatic efforts are in progress and will be continuing until the fugitive killers are brought back to the country from abroad and their death sentence executed on this soil,’ she said.
Addressing a discussion organized by Krishak League at Jatiya Press Club, Dipu Moni said BNP had stigmatized the nation by rehabilitating the war criminals, as well as the killers of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and celebrating bogus birthday of the opposition leader Khaleda on National Mourning Day.
She said the killing committed by the anti-liberation force in 1971, 1975 and 2004 were attached to the same string as the objectives of the killings were to destroy the pro-liberation party Awami League and make ‘their’ rule permanent.
‘People will have to rethink about how safe the country is if the BNP-led anti-liberation force returned to power’.
‘If you (people) vote for BNP-Jamaat-Hefajat, they would again establish the reign of terror and corruption in the country, while if you vote for Awami League, they country will be a middle-income country by 2021 and there will be no terror and corruption in the country,’ she further said.
The programme was addressed, among others, by state minister for law Quamrul Islam and state minister for housing and public works Abdul Mannan Khan.
