Blogger Asif gets bailNew Age Online
A Dhaka court on Wednesday granted ‘blogger Asif Mohiuddin’ one month bail in a case relating to ‘hurting religious sentiments’.
The metropolitan session’s judge, Mohammad Zahurul Haque granted the bail, after hearing a bail petition moved by a Supreme Court lawyer, Jyotirmoy Barua.
Earlier, on July 29, the same court had rejected a bail plea and sent him to jail.
A case was lodged against Asif on April 17 in connection with ‘hurting religious sentiments’ through ‘derogatory posts on blogs and social network sites.’
