Four arrested in BNP leader killingNew Age Online
Rapid Action Battalion members have arrested four in a row the killers of BNP leader Rafiqul Islam, Tuesday night.
The arrested persons included the mother in-law of the victim, RAB said.
Rafiqul was the member secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan BNP of ward 56, and also a businessman at Bango Bazar in the capital.
The BNP leader was found dead handcuffed in Adabaria of Kumarkhali upazila in Kushtia on January 5, this year.
The alleged murderers were arrested from different parts of Dhaka and Gazipur, said Lt. Col Ziaul Ahsan, director of RAB intelligence wing.
The victim was abducted and subsequently killed and the killers had used RAB’s name.
RAB officials claimed that Lipi Akhter, who was mother-in-law of Rafiqul was also involved in the slain.
