Every character is my dream role
Chanchal Chowdhury tells New AgeCultural Correspondent
Popular actor Chanchal Chowdhury claims that the viewers will like all the characters he has enacted in the Eid teleplays as he takes every character so seriously as if he was playing his dream roles.
The perfectionist Chanchal further claims he had not compromised with the quality of his acting despite working in 15 teleplays along with his scheduled works as a regular actor in TV, film and theatre.
‘I’ve acted in 15 teleplays scheduled to be aired on different channels during this Eid festival. Viewers will enjoy every character I’ve played,’ said Chanchal adding that these plays had been directed by talented directors like Giasuddin Selim, Golam Sohrab Dodul, Mostafa Kamal Raz, Syed Shakil and others.
‘All these plays will feature diverse and interesting stories as I tend to perform only in good plays. Moreover, I’ve given my best possible output in these plays as I always take every role seriously as if I was playing my dream role,’ Chanchal Chowdhury said.
Chanchal Chowdhury claims that he has developed this practice since the beginning of his acting career in theatre. ‘An actor must be well trained and should develop himself/herself through a long learning process. I developed myself as an actor in theatre, especially in Aranyak Natya Dal,’ said Chanchal Chowdhury, who is still regular in the popular productions of the troupe including Shangkranti, Rarang, Mayur Singhason and Ora Kadom Ali.
Chanchal Chowdhury grabbed the attention of the viewers performing in a TV commercial of a leading mobile operator in the early 2000s. Subsequently he got an offer from the leading teleplay directors of the country.
He proved his skill acting in diverse characters in teleplays and serials such as Dholer Badya, Bangsher Bati, Talpatar Sepoy, Nikhoj Shongbaad, Ami Tumi Satyajit, Boral Parer Shitlai Gaon, Akjon Durbol Manush and Bhober Haat.
Chanchal has proven his talent and received enormous appreciation for his acting in films also including Giasuddin Selim’s Monpura, Goutam Ghosh’s Moner Manush and Khaluah and Mostafa Sarwar Farooki’s Television.
