Only instrumental presented in the evening was a sitar performance by Satyajit Charkraborty. He created a melodious sound while improvising on the string instrument.
The evening’s greatest attraction, however, was a duet vocal recital performed by Yakub Al Khan and Yusuf Ali Khan based on raga madhubati.
About the festival, Usha Rahman, festival coordinator, told New Age that the organisation has been organising the festival for the past 44 years with the aim to promote classical musicians from across the country.
