Selim Al-Deen’s death anniv observed at JU

The 5th death anniversary of noted playwright Nattacharya Selim Al- Deen was observed at Jahangirnagar University on Monday.
The drama and dramatics department of the university took various programmes marking the day.
The programmes include a rally, placing wreaths at the grave of Selim Al-Deen and staging of his plays.
Led by chairman of the department Professor Aminul Islam, the rally was brought out from the old arts faculty and it paraded the main streets of the campus and ended at the graveyard of the late
playwright behind the central mosque of the university.
JU vice- chancellor Professor Md Anwar Hossain, the playwright’s wife Begumzadee Meherun Nessa, teachers and students of the university and cultural organisations placed floral wreaths at the grave of Selim at around 11:00am.
