Pakistan wants Tigers to tour in May

Staff Correspondent

Pakistan has invited Bangladesh to make the postponed-cricket-tour in May, though there was no firm commitment from the Bangladesh Cricket Board, officials said on Monday.
The invitation came when BCB president Nazmul Hasan met his PCB counterpart Zaka Ashraf in New Delhi during Sunday’s third one-day international between India and Pakistan.
‘They discussed certain issues,’ said Jalal Younus, media committee chairman of the BCB. The discussion included if Bangladesh could make the trip in May but the BCB president did not commit.’
The BCB later in a statement added that the two board presidents also discussed about the Pakistani players’ participation in the forthcoming Bangladesh Premier League.
‘They talked on bilateral cricket issues and among other things the Bangladesh team’s tour to Pakistan and participation of the Pakistani players in the 2nd edition of Bangladesh Premier League T20 were discussed,’ the statement quoted Jalal as saying.
‘The BCB president assured Mr Ashraf that he will have detailed discussion on the Pakistan tour with the Board’s ad hoc committee upon his return to Bangladesh after attending the Asian Cricket Council meeting in Kuala Lumpur.
‘The two Boards also decided to work closely to find out an appropriate time for the Pakistan tour,’ he said.
