Defending champions Dhaka Gladiators will face Khulna Royal Bengals in the opening match of the Bangladesh Premier League at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on January 18.
The BPL authorities released the fixtures of the tournament finally on Saturday with Barisal Burners playing Sylhet Royals in the other match of the opening day.
Seven franchises – Dhaka Gladiators, Khulna Royal Bengals, Chittagong Kings, Duranto Rajshahi, Sylhet Royals, Barisal Burners and Rangpur Riders – will play on a double league basis in the tournament, which will end on February 16.
The teams will move to Khulna on January 21 only after three days of action in the capital city with matches scheduled in the south-western city before travelling to Chittagong.
