Emirates inks deal with StanChart

Emirates airline on Monday signed an agreement with Standard Chartered Bank at the airline’s office in the capital’s Gulshan, with a view to facilitating travel for travellers in Bangladesh.
As per the agreement styled ‘TripDirect’, Standard Chartered credit card holders in Bangladesh will be able to pay for Emirates’ tickets from now onwards till December 16, 2013 to visit any of the airline’s 128 global destinations with a maximum of 12 monthly instalments, said a news release. 
Emirates area manager in Bangladesh Satish Sethi and Standard Chartered Bank general manager for retail banking products and wealth management Tarek Reaz Khan signed the agreement on their respective sides.
Standard Chartered head of cards Tawfique Imam, Emirates sales manager in Bangladesh Ismail Bhuiyan, among others, were present in the signing ceremony.
These tickets can be purchased through 25 selected travel agents in Bangladesh, details of which have already been communicated by Standard Chartered to their credit card holders, the release added.
