Cultural programme held at TSC

Different troupes presented music and theatre at a cultural programme held on Tuesday at the TSC auditorium at Dhaka University.
Sur Tirtha artistes presented various genres of songs in chorus mostly glorifying the beauty of life and patriotism including Anando dhoni gajao gogoney, Sarthok janam amar, O amar desher mati, and others. 
Jahangirnagar University based troupe Jahanginrnagar Theatre staged Chakrabuho featuring rampant corruption in every sector in the society, which hinders the development of the nation through the diabolical character of a politician.
Earlier in a discussion programme, Bangladesh ambassador and its permanent representative to UN, AK Abdul Momen, National Professor Dr MR Khan, president of the club ME Chowdhury Shamim, and others delivered speeches calling for develop a corruption free society.
The event was a part of a daylong programme organised by Ethics Club Bangladesh on Dhaka University premises. The organisers at the programme demanded declaration of January 1 as World Ethics Day.
