Committees of terror

Iftekhar Sayeed Dhanmondi, Dhaka

GIVE four Bangladeshis authority, and they’ll tyrannise over the fifth.
Such is the case with the committees that have sprung up in the multi-storied buildings. These committees pass rules that go against the rights conferred on the individual by the republic of Bangladesh. They are republics unto themselves.
And how do they enforce these tyrannical rules? Through sheer harassment and intimidation. The rights of the individual against these tyrannical bodies have to be protected. I hope more people will pay attention to this subject instead of supinely bending to the whims of the committees of terror.
